The People Behind Oddly
Oddly is built and led by one person, with early contributions from a small group of educators who helped shape what it became. We’re a queer-led, feminist space grounded in systems thinking, animal rights, and environmental justice — built by people who teach because they believe education can genuinely shift how people see and act in the world.
Javi Suarez (She / Her)
Founder & Lead Educator
Javi founded Oddly and is currently the person building, teaching, and running it day to day — from course design to facilitation to every conversation with students and partner organisations. Their background is in educational leadership, teacher training, and cross-functional program coordination. Javi is also about to begin a Master’s in Gender Studies, deepening the formal grounding behind Oddly’s feminist and queer framework.
As a trans non-binary and vegan educator, Javi built Oddly to be a space where learning is inseparable from care — for people, for the planet, and for each other.

Oddly’s foundation wasn’t built alone. This early group taught engaging and practical classes, helped shape course design, and kept the community connected while the project took its first shape. Their work is still part of what Oddly is today.
